WE Watch (formerly known as Women's Environmental Watch) formed its Save Our Stars Committee in 2000. Since then it has worked to obtain outdoor lighting ordinances in the Santa Ynez Valley and Santa Barbara County. WE Watch now sponsors the Central Coast Chapter of Dark Sky International, the foremost organization working to bring back the night sky world wide by reducing light pollution.
